Sambhar Salt Lake
Sambhar Salt Lake is the largest inland salt lake of India and divided by a 5.1 km long dam made of sandstone.
India’s largest saline lake is the main source of salt production in most of Rajasthan’s salt lakes and also one of the largest producer of salt in India.
The lake has been designated as a Ramsar site in Rajasthan and home to thousands of pink flamingos and many more bird species that migrate from northern Asia and Siberia.
