13 Indian Cities Will be Developed as Smart Cities

The Urban Development Ministry of India announced the second list of Indian cities that would be developed as Smart Cities under Narendra Modi government ambitious plan. To develop the country’s infrastructure, The Modi government plans to have at least one smart city in every state.

Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh

Lucknow is the largest city of Uttar Pradesh on the northwestern shore of the Gomti river. The city of Nawabs is one of the fastest growing city in India and one of the 3 best cities in the Uttar Pradesh to boost tourism.

Bhagalpur, Bihar

Bhagalpur is situated on the southern bank of the Ganges in Bihar and famous worldwide for its silk production. The city is home to the Vikramshila Gangetic Dolphin Sanctuary, Gangetic dolphin the National Aquatic Animal of India.

New Town Kolkata, West Bengal

New Town is a neighbourhood of Kolkata consists of villages of Rajarhat and Bhangar. The area is being developed as new information technology and residential hub and also is a fast-growing planned satellite city in India.

Faridabad, Haryana
