Jamnagar Refinery – Reliance Industries Limited

Jamnagar Refinery is owned by Reliance Industries Limited and currently the largest refinery in the world. The private sector crude oil refinery has capacity of 1,240,000 barrels per day and processes a wide variety of crude oils and produces a range of petroleum products.

Vadinar Refinery – Nayara Energy Limited

Vadinar refinery is the second largest oil refinery in India, now owned and operated by Nayara Energy Limited. The refinery was started by Essar Oil and now Rosneft from Russia owns a 49.13% stake in Nayara Energy along with Trafigura Holdings.

Kochi Refinery – Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited

BPCL Kochi Oil Refinery is the largest public sector refinery in India, located at Ambalamugal near Kochi in Kerala. The crude oil refinery has a production capacity of 15.5 million tonnes per year and was acquired by the BPCL.

Mangalore Refinery – Oil and Natural Gas Corporation

Mangalore Refinery is part of ONGC to process crudes with capacity to process 15 million metric tonnes per annum. Oil and Natural Gas Corporation under the ownership of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has stake of HPCL and MRPL has approval for a merger with HPCL by ONGC.

Paradip Refinery – Indian Oil Corporation Limited

Paradip Refinery is one of the biggest refinery owned by Indian Oil Corporation Limited with capacity of refinery is 15 million tonnes per year. The refinery process dirty and heavy crude oil from Latin America and inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 2016.
