Hampi, Badami, Aihole and Pattadakal and are four most visited tourist destination in Karnataka state and part of the heritage Golden Triangle circuit with Bijapur. The sandstone temples, Caves and historical monuments of Hampi,Pattadakal and Badami are world heritage sites in India.
Day 1 – You can chosse to stay Homestay, Hotel or Cottage nearby and walk towards ruins city.
Hampi village is the ruins of the city of Vijayanagara, situated on the banks of the Tungabhadra River in northern Karnataka. The temple town is famous for Group of Monuments, religious places and temples.
Day 2 – Drive towards Badami, 130 km via SH 63 by road 3 hours.
Badami was known as Vatapi,situated on top of the hill and famous for its rock cut structural temples,red sandstone and caves. The city has been selected as one of the heritage cities for HRIDAY.

Day 3 – Proceed to Pattadakal located 22 km from Badami.
The world heritage site of Pattadakal is located on the left bank of the Malaprabha River and an important tourist centre in the state of Karnataka.

Day 4 – Proceed to Aihole lies to the east of Pattadakal.
Aihole historic temple complex is a popular tourist spot in Karnataka and has more than 70 temples. Durga temple at Aihole is the best known of the Aihole temples and part of a pending world heritage site.
Bijapur also known as Vijayapura is located 2.5 hours drive from Aihole and famous for Palaces, arches and tombs. Gol Gumbaz is the most famous monument in Bijapur and largest dome ever built in India.
