India is highly vulnerable to floods, Heavy rains and cloudburst are capable of creating flood conditions. This is a list of notable recorded floods in India that have occurred over last 10 years.
Heavy rains continued to lash several parts of Kerala, Assam and flash floods and cloudbursts have caused huge damage in several areas of Uttarakhand and neighboring Himachal Pradesh.
